LORETTO, PA. - The Knights were tripped up on Friday at Saint Francis as they fell in three sets in the teams' first ever meeting at DeGol Arena.
How it Happened
Set One
-The Red Flash came out with an early two kills as the Knights opened scoring with an attack by
Artem Vetrov.
-With nine kills in the first 14 points, SFU forced a six point edge.
-The Knights went on a 5-1 spurt with three consecutive kills to cut the lead down to one and force a Saint Francis timeout.
-
Jack Lydon deposited two service aces out of the timeout to take the first lead of the match.
-The Red Flash worked their way out of the hole with three consecutive kills, to knot the score at 23 with a service ace.
-Following a late FDU timeout, SFU's Andrew Deardorff notched a kill to take the set 25-23.

Set Two
-Each team came out of the gates with a pair of kills to keep the score leveled.
-Vetrov added a pair of kills as the teams traded points.
-SFU's Deardorff deposited a pair of kills to create distance with a 15-12 lead.
-The teams traded a series of service aces as FDU remained at a two-point deficit.
-The Red Flash closed in with three kills late in the set.

Mihajlo Rodic cut into the lead with a service ace but could not take control, dropping the set 25-21.

Set Three
-The Red Flash took control early on with a six-point spurt.
-FDU worked to close the gap with three kills by
Rui Fernandes.Â
-With a four-point advantage in place, the Red Flash maintained control to the end to defeat the Knights 25-19.
