Baseball Travels to Towson for Three-Game Series

TEANECK, N.J. -The Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team (2-10, 0-0 NEC) travels to Towson, MD. this weekend, as the Knights battle the Towson Tigers (3-10, 0-0 CAA) in a three-game series on Friday, March 11-12 at John B. Schuerholz Park. 

The series is scheduled to start with a doubleheader on Friday, beginning at 11 a.m. with approximately 40 minutes between games. FDU and Towson will play the series finale on Saturday at 1 p.m. If the game gets postponed, the teams will play on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Scouting FDU

  • Pitcher Jake Simon has a 3.52 in 7.2 innings pitched, striking out seven. Evan Stewart sits with 1.93 in 4.2 innings pitched, striking out six.

Scouting Towson 

  • Towson enters the game with a 3-10 record. The Tigers hold a batting average of .222 and a total of 92 hits, 51 runs, and 45 RBIs.    
  • Towson's pitchers hold a 7.45 ERA and 77 strikeouts.    
  • Last time out, Towson recorded a win against UMBC, 5-1. Last weekend, the Tigers lost 3-0 in a three-game series over UNC Greensboro.

The Knights are back in action next Tuesday, March 15 to face Lehigh at 3:00 p.m., at the Legacy Park in Bethlehem, PA.
