TEANECK, N.J. -Following a road series at The Citadel, the Fairleigh Dickinson baseball team (0-3, 0-0 NEC) returns to the Naimoli Family Baseball Complex for a non-conference game against the Saint Peter's Peacocks (0-0, 0-0 MAAC). The home opener is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon and will be the first game between the two teams in Teaneck since 2020.

FDU enters the game with a 0-3 record. Joan Sosa, Hunter D'Amato, and TJ Werner are the only Knights batting over .300 after the first series. Sosa has a team-leading .444 hitting percentage, while Tom Ruscitti has two home runs and the team-high four RIBs. On the mound, Jude Baxt registers five strikeouts in 4.1 innings pitched and features the best ERA in the group at 4.15.
Saint Peter's went 4-24 last season. The Peacocks return 14 players from last year's roster. Sam Delcollo leads the group of returners coming back after hitting .297. Matthew Dubois was 1-4 last season with a 8.69 ERA.
FDU holds a 13-1 average in 14 previous games between the two teams. The first game was on March 13, 2012, and the Knights won, 7-4.

After hosting Saint Peter's tomorrow, the Knights will head to Harrisonburg, VA., for a three-game series against James Madison this weekend. The series opener is set for 3 p.m. on Friday, February 25. Saturday's game and Sunday's series finale are set for 1 p.m.
