HACKENSACK, N.J. - The Knights (0-6) fell to St. Francis Brooklyn (5-3) on Tuesday afternoon as the team returned to Stratis Arena for a week of home matchups.
How it Happened
Set One: The Terriers established a momentum early in set one on an unanswered, five-point run. The Knights worked to close the gap with back-to-back kills by Jack Lydon and a pair of blocks, but could not deliver, dropping the set 25-13.
Set Two: The second set was a tight battle to the end. With the score leveled at 13, Jael Deveaux dished out a pair of service aces to open a 7-1 run and establish an FDU advantage. On a four-point spurt, the Terriers tied the set at 23. Lydon posted a pair of statement kills as the team's traded points the rest of the way. Taking the set to a 29th point, the Terriers took the set 29-27.
Set Three: The Terriers jumped out to a dominant start with five-straight kills. St. Francis Brooklyn continued to hold control to the end, hitting 13 kills on a .600 clip to defeat the Knights.

Lydon recorded a match-high ten kills as he continues to lead the Knights in points with 69.5 on the season.

Anchoring the Knights was Rui Fernandes who tallied 16 assists, three blocks and two kills on a perfect clip.

The Terriers hit a season-best average of .421, dishing out 32 kills in the sweep.
