Knights Take Down UMass Lowell to Improve Their Record to 7-2 on the Season

HACKENSACK, N.J. -  The FDU Knights (7-2, 0-0) meet up with America East foe UMass Lowell (0-7, 0-0) where they won 62-48. The Knights struggled in the first half where they shot only 28% in the second quarter. FDU went into the half down by five points. The Knights have not faced a halftime deficit since their season opener at Marquette. This was a good test for a Knights team who has started the season with multiple tremendous performances. Despite the halftime deficit, they came out and outscored the River Hawks in the third quarter 13-7 and then put UMass in a hole they could not climb out of in the fourth quarter. The final quarter saw the Knights go on a 22-9 run which included 61.5% shooting from the field and a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point land. The Knights were led by Dahomée Forgues who had a huge second half and scored 12 points in the final two periods including the first seven Knights points in the fourth quarter.
