Knights Drop Tough Battle Versus Fordham

BRONX, N.Y. – The starting backcourt of the Rams (7-4, 0-0) was too much to handle for the Knights (7-4, 0-0) today. The Knights dropped their second consecutive game by double-digits in the Bronx, N.Y. today when they lost 78-58. Fordham blitzed FDU in the first quarter by outscoring them 21-4. The massive early lead from the Rams was due to the Knights poor 1-for-14 shooting in the first 10 minutes of play. The uncharacteristically bad start for the Burgundy and Blue put them in a hole that was too much to overcome. Throughout the last 30 minutes the Knights were only outscored by one point by the rams, 47-46. The early hole made it difficult for FDU to come back without going on a run themselves, every time the Knights hit multiple shots in a row the dynamic backcourt duo for the Rams had an answer. Junior points leader Chloe Wilson was once again in foul trouble early for the Knights, limiting her to only 20 minutes of play.

  • Sierra DeAngelo shot 5-for-9 from the field and pitched in 14 points and five rebounds.
