Back on the Hackensack: Gameday Preview for Knights/Highlanders Sunday

HACKENSACK, N.J. - 28 days after hosting Manhattan at Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center, the FDU men's basketball (5-6, 0-0 NEC) returns home to the (201) for a Sunday matinee against NJIT (1-8, 0-0 AE) on Sunday, December 11 at 2 p.m.

The Knights will honor the fall 2022 Northeast Conference champion men's soccer, women's soccer and women's volleyball teams in ceremonies during the first half.

Coming off an overtime win Friday at Columbia, 76-73, FDU looks to continue their dominance on the home hardwood. The Knights average 91.5 points per game at home through two contests as the Knights sit 2-0 at home on the season. Seeking his 400th career win, Tobin Anderson's team comes into the end of week tilt having won two of their last three to cap an eight-game away-from-home stretch which included two neutral site games as part of the JK54 Classic before Thanksgiving at Longwood in Farmville, Va. Anderson's team has amassed numerous honors since last hitting the home court, capped by graduate student guard Grant Singleton tabbed as the NEC Player of the Week and garnering a nod as a Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Honorable Mention this past week.

FDU seeks their first win over the Highlanders since the series began in 1986 with the Burgundy and Blue taking a 97-66 victory on January 3, 1986 at home.

After Sunday's matchup, FDU hits the road again for their third game in 2022-23 against an A-10 opponent when the Knights battle Richmond on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. on ESPN+ and MASN.

The 2022-23 men's basketball season is presented by Bogota Savings Bank.
