WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - FDU men's basketball fell to 3-6 on the season following a 74-66 loss at Hartford on Wednesday in the first win for the Hawks (4-6) over a Division I opponent this season.
Â
Â
- Starting one big in the Knights' lineup with sophomore forward Ansley Almonor returning to the lineup, FDU was slow coming out of the gate.
- The home Hawks enjoyed a 6-0 run going into the first media timeout of the game off a pair of threes though Knights' senior Heru Bligen put an end to the scoreless drought with a driving layup.
- Almonor would have his moment as he'd snap a nearly five-minute scoreless stretch for the Burgundy and Blue who'd go on to hold nine leads in the ballgame.
Â
Â
- Down four at the break, FDU would post 33 points again in the second, bested by the Hawks' same mark of 37 which matched Hartford's first half total.
- Struggling to gain possession of loose balls, FDU tally 10 turnovers and 15 defensive boards, half of the Hawks' game-total of 30.
- The Knights' long shot went cold in the final 20 with FDU shooting just 33.33 percent from distance.

FDU faces Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia on Saturday, December 3 at 2 p.m. live on ESPN+ as the Knights return to action looking to get on the right track after the setback.
