HACKENSACK, N.J. -  The FDU Knights (5-2, 0-0) picked up a dominant win over the UMES Hawks (1-6, 0-0). The Knights won 82-41 where they held the Hawks to 25.8% shooting from the field. The Knights were backed by a career night from Sierra DeAngelo who put up 23 points and five rebounds in the contest. The Burgundy and Blue shot nearly 50% from the field hitting 30-of-61 shots they attempted, making a season-high 11 three-pointers. The story of the game was turning defense into offense where the Knights scored 22 points off UMES turnovers. Freshman Eniya Scott made her season debut where she pitched in nine points off the bench. Chloe Wilson, Dahomée Forgues, and Ella Fajardo all added double-figure scoring to help take down the Hawks.

First Quarter

FDU 23, UMES 10

• 7-0 run from FDU forced a quick UMES timeout. DeAngelo led the way with five points.
• Freshman Scott picked up a steal and layup to extend the Knights lead for her first points of the season.  
• Sierra DeAngelo finished the quarter with 12 points 4-for-4 from the field.
• The Knights defense forced six turnovers in the quarter.

Second Quarter

FDU 42, UMES 15

• A 13-3 run to start the quarter by the Knights gave them a 20-point lead.
• At the media timeout, the Knights led 38-13. Scott had seven points for the Knights.
• FDU forced 11 first-half turnovers.
• The Hawks shot only 6-for-33 from the field in the half.
• Wilson led the Knights with six points in the quarter and DeAngelo led all scorers in the half with 15 points.

Third Quarter

FDU 59, UMES 29

• Two threes to open the half from Forgues and Carbonell gave the Knights a 29-point lead.
• At the media timeout, the Knights were on an 11-4 run in the quarter. They led 53-19.
• The Hawks used a timeout with 2:14 left in the quarter, they trailed 55-25.
• Forgues was the leading scorer in the quarter with five.

Fourth Quarter

FDU 82, UMES 41

• Mia Andrews cashed in her first bucket of the season when she nailed a three-point early in the quarter.
• The Knights outscored the Hawks 23-12 in the quarter.
• FDU hit seven threes in the second half and 11 total.
• DeAngelo led the way scoring 23 points on the night.
