FDU men's volleyball will open their 2023 season in Atlantic City, N.J., to compete in the "Battle for the Boardwalk" tournament hosted by JBJ Events. The two-day event will take place on January 6 and 7 at Harrah's Resort and Casino.
In their second year as a program, the Knights will compete as one of six teams at the inaugural tournament. The Burgundy and Blue will take on Eastern Nazarene and Monroe in a pair of exhibition matches on Friday evening, followed by their official season opener against Belmont Abbey on Saturday at 9 a.m. Also set to compete is American International and NEC competitor St. Francis Brooklyn.
"This is a phenomenal way to open our season," said head coach Karl France. "The competition we will encounter at this tournament will inspire our athletes and motivate them as we enter our second season as a program."
JBJ Events is an event company that hosts volleyball tournaments across the country, at all levels. The Battle for the Boardwalk marks JBJ Events first tournament hosting collegiate volleyball play.
