TEANECK, N.J. - Seven days after the game was originally scheduled to be played, FDU men's soccer (7-5-2, 5-0-1 NEC) defeated Central Connecticut 2-0 at University Stadium Thursday in the third-consecutive win for the Knights who remain unbeaten in Northeast Conference play.
Â
First Half
- After a slow start for both teams offensively, sophomore forward Kevin Leonhard laced an attempt that landed left of the target in the 13'.
- Leonhard would tally the first shot-on-target before graduate student forward Joshua Ferreira recorded his second goal of the season assisted by Leonhard and senior midfielder Jordan Alonge.
- Junior defender Hugo Bacharach would take a penalty attempt in the 37' and convert for the second Knights' goal of the fixture for some added insurance in the eventual 2-0 victory.
Second Half
- FDU continued to dominate the ball in the final 45 with the Knights officially out-shooting Central Connecticut 12-2 in the second half.
- Senior Edoardo Calzola was spectacular defensively making several key tackles and using his size to boost FDU's side.
- Spencer King dazzled in his 13th start of the campaign, finishing with three saves.

"I thought we put in a solid effort and performance tonight," said head coach
Seth Roland. "I'm pleased with how we attacked and created chances and it's great to get another clean sheet."
