SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Women's basketball (6-8, 3-1 NEC) dropped a conference tilt at Bryant (4-11, 2-2 NEC) on Saturday afternoon in Rhode Island.

In a game of durability, the FDU bench featured six active players while Bryant had seven available due to Covid protocols.

The teams traded points out of the gates with Sierra DeAngelo shooting three-for-three from the floor for seven points in the first five minutes of play.

Bryant opened the second quarter on a 14-2 run to break open a gap and hold a 38-22 advantage at halftime.

Madison Stanley tallied nine points in the first three minutes out of the half to send FDU on a hot streak and get within nine of the Bulldogs. In her third appearance as a Knight, Abaigeal Babore sank a pair of threes as the team shot 9-for-13 from the floor.

The Bulldogs controlled the fourth quarter with a final spurt by Bryant's leading scorer Brooke Bjelko. The Knights would not manage to close the gap, dropping the contest 69-57.
