HACKENSACK, N.J. - The Knights (7-8, 4-1 NEC) dropped Sacred Heart (4-6, 3-2 NEC) in a 65-56 decision on Saturday in Stratis Arena.
How it Happened

In the first minute of play, the Knights established a lead and sustained it for the remainder of the game. Shooting a 42.86 percent clip, FDU closed the first quarter with a five-point advantage.

The Knights opened the second quarter on a nine-point spurt to widen the gap to 13 with three minutes left in the half. With a final buzzer beater by Taylor Crystian, FDU closed the half 34-25.

The Pioneers established a rhythm in the third quarter, shooting 40 percent from the floor to get within three of the Knights. A pair of free throws by Chloe Wilson secured a 48-43 lead for the Knights going into the final ten minutes.

Shooting seven-for-eight from the free throw line, the Knights picked up 17 points in the final quarter to close the game in their favor, 65-56.

Shooting a season-high 10-of-12 foul shots, Wilson paced the Knights with 18 points. Wilson also added seven rebounds, three assists and a steal for the FDU cause.

Devyn Scott and Aniya Bell also finished with double figures, tallying a combined 24 points. Scott recorded a team-high eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals while Bell added seven boards of her own.Â
