NEW BRITAIN, CONN. - The Knights (12-8, 9-1 NEC) marked their best conference run in FDU history on Sunday as they dropped Central Connecticut State (3-14, 3-7 NEC), 62-42, to move to a 9-1 NEC record.

How it Happened

The first period was an offensive battle as both teams shot over 50 percent from the field. Madison Stanley tallied 10 of the team's 16 points in the first quarter to lead the Knights. The Blue Devils shot four-for-six from the three-point line to end the period with the lead, 20-16.

The teams traded control throughout the second period, as Chloe Wilson went on an eight-point run in the five minutes leading into the half. With a final free throw by CCSU's Forever Toppin, the Blue Devils entered halftime with a 27-26 lead.

The Knights came out of halftime on a hot streak, going on a 16-point run to gain control. Shooting a game-high 66.7 percent from the field, FDU tallied 22 points in the third period to force a 16-point advantage.

FDU continued to widen the gap in the final 10 minutes of play with 14 points, to drop the Blue Devils 62-42.

The Knights recorded their sixth straight win as they continue to lead the conference on a 9-1 record, the best start to NEC play in program history.

Chloe Wilson paced the Knights with 22 points, her second highest scoring game this season. Wilson shot 12-for-15 from the free throw line while adding four rebounds and a pair of steals.

Aniya Bell shot four-for-seven from the floor to log eight points while also contributing six rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals.
