HACKENSACK, N.J. - The time has finally come for men's volleyball on the Hackensack! The Fairleigh Dickinson men's volleyball team (0-0) will play host to LIU (0-4) on Tuesday, January 25, at Stratis Arena inside the Rothman Center with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m. live on NEC Front Row. FDU will hit the hardwood for the first time in the regular season after the team's season-opening matches as part of the Harvard Invitational, originally scheduled for this past Friday and Saturday, were cancelled due to COVID-19 protocols.

Scouting the Sharks
Also in their first year competing, the LIU Sharks are four games into their inaugural season, dropping each of their first four matches in straight sets. Opening their rookie campaign with a pair of games at Belmont Abbey in North Carolina, the Sharks fell to the Crusaders before taking the hardwood in Brooklyn to face Springfield. LIU was held to 22 points in the first set before falling 25-20 and 25-14 in the following two. In their first Northeast Conference matchup, LIU hit the road again to pay the Red Flash a visit in Loretto, Pa. Saint Francis U (Pa.) would take the battle 25-19, 25-21 and 25-22. Junior Caden Satterfield leads the side in the early going with a team-high 35 kills in 11 sets played over four matches. Defensively rookie Kasey Clouet has booked 15 digs in 11 sets, averaging 1.36 digs per set.

Scouting the Knights
With one preseason tune-up under their belts, the Knights are ready for the bright lights under the iconic roof at Stratis Arena when they take on LIU Tuesday.

After the home opener, France and the Knights head up to Fairfield for their second clash with an NEC opponent in as many games when the team faces Sacred Heart at the William H. Pitt Center on Tuesday, February 2, at 6 p.m. live on NEC Front Row.
