PHILADELPHIA, PA. - The Fairleigh Dickinson women's fencing team opened its spring season on Saturday at the Philly Invitational hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. Senior Gabriel Watson led the way for the Knights in épée, registering an 8-7 record on the day.

• The Knights' épeé squad won 13 individual bouts between Gabriela Cruz and Gabriel Watson.
• Freshman Avery LaRusso registered one of her strongest performances of the year, tallying 7 individual wins in only 15 total bouts.
• Freshman Dominique Greaux-Gist represented the foil squad for the Knights, recording three individual wins on the day.
• Freshman Emily Bone also competed in her fifth collegiate event at the Philly Invitational on Saturday.
