James Donlon career high in hits was not enough for FDU (6-20, 5,14) in a 12-7 defeat at the hands of Sacred Heart (15-18, 10-6).
How it Happened:
- Sacred Heart got out to an early 3-0 lead lead until FDU was able to get a run across in the 4th inning
- Senior Brad Levinson continued his hot hitting with a double that drove in Donlon for the first run
- Freshman TJ Werner hit his first career home run in the 5th inning to cut into the deficit
- The Pioneers broke the game open in the fifth inning with five runs
- Both teams would score a run in the sixth inning
- In the 9th, FDU would plate 4 runs on 5 hits
- Veit doubled which brought in a run and his 21st team-leading RBI on the season; then freshmen Hunter D'Amato had a sacrifice fly and RBI; Donlon then got his fourth hit on the afternoon driving in another run; and finally Levinson got his second hit on the afternoon and another RBI
