BETHLEHEM, P.A. - FDU (6-19, 5-13) couldn't hold onto a lead in the 9th and lost to Lehigh (16-14, 12-8) 7-6 Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference battle.
How it happened:
1st Inning:
- The Knights took the early lead in the 1st inning as graduate student Mike Veit was able to scamper home after a passed ball
3rd Inning:
- Lehigh tied the game after a leadoff walk would advance to third base on several passed balls and then would score on a sacrifice fly
4th Inning:
- After Lehigh scored a run in the 4th, the FDU bats came to life in the 5th inning
5th Inning:
- Freshman Hunter D'Amato scored on a wild pitch and then with a runner on third, sophomore Justin Sierra singled driving home freshman Tommy Verga
- Senior Brad Levinson followed up Sierra with a single of his own and an RBI to give FDU a 4-2 lead
- Lehigh responded in the bottom half of the 5th inning with a solo home run
7th Inning:
- Levinson drove in Sierra for the second time with an RBI double
- Levinson then advanced to third on a passed ball and freshman Blaise Rantanen singled in Levinson giving the Knights a 6-3 lead
- Lehigh responded with two runs of their own
9th:
- Carrying a one-run lead into the 9th, the Knights got the first two outs
- Lehigh then staged their comeback with three straight singles resulting in two runs and winning the game

FDU is scheduled to play at Sacred Heart on Friday, April 30, at 3 p.m.
