Season Success
The Knights enter Friday as the unanimous NEC preseason favorites, placing first or second in three tournaments this spring. In a condensed schedule, FDU carded nine top-10 individual finishes across five tournaments, including an outright victory from senior
Caterina Tatti at the Knights Shootout in the opening event of the season. Tatti logged a season stroke average of 79.6 in seven total rounds, carding an even 72 during round one of the Knights Shootout and earning NEC Women's Golfer of the Week in the process. Fellow senior
Julia Warke boasts the team's lowest stroke average on the year at 77.7. Warke also claims three top-five individual finishes this season while placing second at the FDU Invitational on April 2-3.
Victoria Schroedl displayed a strong sophomore campaign, logging a 78.1 stroke average to pair with a season low round of 71 (-1) at the Sacred Heart Invite.
Anete Adul finishes regular-season play with a stroke average below 80 in six total rounds during her freshman debut.
Haley Baker and
Nicola Smith have also been crucial support players this season, competing in a combined eight total rounds this spring.
FDU is set to face a competitive field, including NEC preseason runner-up Sacred Heart. The Pioneers have carded six top-five finishes in eight tournaments as Freshman Margot Rouquette has claimed three NEC Women's Golfer of the Week accolades. Saint Francis U and Wagner have also displayed strong performances this spring, tallying a pair of first place finishes between the two.
Spectator Policy
Fans will be permitted to attend the NEC Women's Golf Championship.
Spectators must remain at least 20 feet away from student-athletes and coaches at all times, wear a mask that covers the face and nose, practice appropriate social distancing between groups (families may sit together) and comply with all venue, local and state COVID-related protocols.
Spectators may not interact with student-athletes before, during or after the conclusion of the event.
Tailgating is strictly prohibited.
