Coach Teepe's Thoughts
"We were happy that we controlled the game, but I felt we came out at the start of the second half with more confidence," said coach
Eric Teepe. "We need to find a way to get a scrappy goal and sometimes you need to win the game that way."
"Katie stepped up and played a calm, confident game for us in net. Tori came in the midfield off the bench and provided a spark. We hit two or three shots off the post, but I think we did a good job of applying pressure and getting good looks."
"Naemi's goal came off a set piece and she was able to put it in. Naemi has been strong for us and it was good for her confidence to score. In our past games, I felt our corner kicks were dangerous and we executed what we did in practice. As the game progresses, we get more dangerous and aggressive. I think there was excitement and relief following the win."
