LODI, N.J. - The No. 20 Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team (26-2, 17-1 NEC) is set to face No. 21 Sacred Heart, Monmouth and Wagner in the 2021 Northeast Roundup tournament.
FDU came away victorious last year in the tournament, their final event of the 2019-20 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This one-day event will follow traditional scoring with each team bowling three rounds of traditional games in a round-robin format.
At the conclusion of the opening rounds, the four participating teams will take part in a position playoff which will pit the first place team against the second place team and third place will take on fourth. In the first round the Knights will face Sacred Heart followed by Monmouth in the second and Wagner in the third.
The Northeast Roundup, now in its third season, was previously held in New Castle, Del. and co-hosted by FDU and Wilmington. Wildcats head coach John York will serve as the head official.
"We are pleased to pickup the slack and host this event in our home center and keep it alive," said Knights head coach
Mike LoPresti. "It may only be a 'Reader's Digest' version with only a single day of competition, but it will still offer stiff competition that will help us prepare for our huge match on Sunday," he concluded.
