Victoria Demmene, the Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team swept both matches at Merrimack on Friday afternoon, earning a three-set and four-set victory.
Match 1: FDU 3, MC 0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-20)
Match 2: FDU 3, MC 1 (23-25, 25-9, 25-12, 25-16)

Match 1: FDU 3, Merrimack 0
- Demmene totaled 13 kills, sophomore Mujay Mambu added 11 and freshman Madisyn Beirne totaled 10 as the Knights won the first match in straight sets.
- The Burgundy and Blue held the Warriors to .081 attack percentage in the match with Mambu and junior Brooke Stevens totaling a pair of blocks apiece.
- Senior setter McKenna Setterlund dished out 36 assists and added 14 digs, while junior libero Jaelyn Young added 22 digs for the Knights.
- Brooke Leestma paced the Warriors with 10 kills.
Match 2: FDU 3, Merrimack 1
- After dropping a tightly-contested first set, the Burgundy and Blue took control with a dominant 16-point win in the second, which propelled them to the four-set win.
- The Knights amassed a .243 attack percentage in the match, while holding the Warriors to just 29 total kills with a .015 attack percentage.
- Demmene powered the attack with 15 kills, while Mambu had 14 and senior Magdalena Maksimovic added 12.
- Senior Allison Koester served as libero and racked up 24 digs to go along with five assists, while Setterlund doled out 45 assists with 13 digs.
- Demmene added 12 digs to her ledger to register her second double-double of the campaign.
