HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team will return to the court for the first time since Monday, February 15 when they welcome Sacred Heart into the Rothman Center for a pair of critical NEC contests. The first game will be played on Sunday, February 28 at 4 p.m. and FDU's Senior Day and final home game of the season will be held on Monday, March 1 at 4 p.m.

Scouting the Pioneers
Sacred Heart (8-6, 8-4 NEC) are currently tied for third in the conference with Wagner. The Pioneers are led by senior Adrianne Hagood who averages 13.9 points per game, which ranks seventh in the NEC. Graduate student Nikki Johnson also averages in double figures as she nets an average of 10.6 points per contest and leads the team in assists per night with 3.4. Sacred Heart ranks fifth in the NEC in points per game with an average of 63.14 points per night. The Pioneers also rank fifth in the conference in points allowed as they allow 63.36 points per game. On the glass, SHU is second in the league with an average of 38.43 rebounds per night.

Scouting the Knights
FDU (12-7, 8-6 NEC) are currently fifth in the NEC and enter the weekend on a three-game winning streak. If the Knights win their final four games, they will clinch a spot in the NEC Tournament. FDU's defense ranks first in the NEC in points allowed per contest with an average of only 57.9 points through 19 games. The Knights rank second in the league in rebounds allowed per game as they only allow 35.1 per game. Offensively, FDU has averaged 58.3 points per contest, with a season-high 79 points against St. Francis Brooklyn on February 10. Coach Szumilo's Thoughts
"This was a great team effort by us on both ends of the court," said coach Szumilo following FDU's 71-46 win over Wagner. "I thought we were very focused from the start and stuck to our defensive plan to a t. I am very proud of this team as Wagner is a very good basketball team, so to win in such a way is huge for us and our confidence going into the last four games of the regular season."

After the two-game series with Sacred Heart, FDU will travel to Bryant for the final two games of the regular season on Thursday, March 4 and Friday, March 5.
