Scouting the Mountaineers
Mount St. Mary's lost a pair of mid-week games at home to Wagner this week. After falling 61-39 on Tuesday night to the Seahawks, the Mountaineers were edged 57-55 on Wednesday. Damian Chong Qui scored the Mount's final 12 points in that game, including a runner with 14 seconds left that tied the score. Wagner's Alex Morales provided the winning points on a pair of free throws with 5.1 seconds on the clock. Chong Qui finished with 18 points and six assists. Chong Qui was named the NEC Co-Player of the Week on Monday, winning the award for the third time this season.

The Mount leads the NEC in league games in scoring defense (59.5), field goal percentage defense (.390), two-point defense (.435), defensive rebound percentage (74.3) and blocks (4.4) while ranking second in three-point defense (.303). Overall, the Mount allows a league-best 61.2 points per game while also leading in field goal percentage defense at 40.8 percent.

Scouting the Knights
This weekend, the Knights will look to snap their four-game skid and fight their way into NEC postseason contention. The Knights have won the last six meetings in the series and eight of the last 10 with the Mountaineers including an 85-75 win in Hackensack last February. In that win, six Knights scored in double figures including a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double by Elyjah Williams. In two meetings last season, the teams combined to shoot 102 free throws.

On Wednesday night, Williams became the 31st Knight to eclipse 1,000 points.  With his 16-point performance on Tuesday night, Jahlil Jenkins moved into sixth on the Knights' all-time scoring list with 1,632 points, passing FDU Hall of Famer Gordon Klaiber in the process. Jenkins is now six points away from moving up to fifth all-time at FDU.

Five Knights are shooting over 40 percent from three-point range this season as the Knights rank 17th in the nation in three-point accuracy at 38.8 percent. In addition, the team ranks third in the NEC in points per game (75.9),  second in three-pointers per game (8.4) and is tied with the Mount for the lead in blocks (4.1 bpg).

Last Time Out for the Knights - Full Recap
