Baseball Announces 2022 Slate

TEANECK, N.J. - The FDU baseball program unveiled their 2022 schedule on Thursday afternoon, consisting of 27 non-conference games and a 24-game NEC campaign.

Led by head coach Rob DiToma in his third year, the Knights will play a complete schedule for the first time since 2018 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"It's always a fun time when we can officially announce our game schedule for the spring," DiToma said. "On top of the usual, tough competition we see day-to-day in the NEC, it's exciting to get back to a full slate of opponents outside of our conference."

The Knights will launch their 2022 season on February 18 as they travel to Charleston, S.C. to face-off with The Citadel in a three-game series. The FDU home opener will take place on February 23 as the Knights return to Naimoli Family Baseball Complex to take on Saint Peter's.

The home opener will be followed by a span of non-conference competition that bleeds into late March. The stretch will feature road games against JMU (Feb. 25-27), Towson (March 11-13) and Lehigh (March 15) while the Knights play host to Manhattan (March 4-6), Monmouth (March 9) and UMass (March 18-20).

NEC play is set to begin the last week of March as the Knights open their campaign as the host to Mount St. Mary's (March 25-27). The month of April features a conference road series at Sacred Heart (April 1-3), Mount St. Mary's (April 14-16) and Wagner (April 22-24), with a home series against Bryant (April 8-10) in between.

May will begin with a pair of conference weekends at Merrimack (May 6-8) and LIU (May 13-15) before closing regular-season play at Naimoli against Sacred Heart (May 19-21).

The schedule also includes mid-week games against local opponents St. John's and Fordham, along with home-and-home games against Saint Peter's, Albany, Iona and Siena.
