Coach Herenda's Thoughts

"St. John's is a very good team that plays very hard and other than the first few minutes I think we matched their energy and intensity. I am very proud how our guys brought it in a BIG EAST arena. We got better tonight. but we still have a long way to go.

"It was great to see Devon, Brandon and Joe get going and to finally get to see the ball go in the basket. Our defense was better but we just could not dig ourselves out the hole that we dug. I love this group and eventually we will be a good team but right now we are a work in progress - but I love the work. "
