HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team (0-3) was defeated by the Bucknell Bison (1-1) by a score of 66-56 in what was the Knights home opener.
How it Happened
- The Knights started strong, finishing the first quarter with a 14-10 lead thanks to a buzzer-beating tip-in from Sierra DeAngelo to close out the quarter.
- FDU would retain their advantage after a full half of play, taking a 30-26 lead into the half.
- The Knights would push their lead to as much as nine in the third quarter, but Bucknell was able to fight back.
- The Bison ultimately won the fourth quarter battle by a score of 22-6 and would walk away with the come-from-behind victory.
Inside the Box Score
- Madison Stanley led the way for the Knights as she scored 16 points and shot six-for-nine from the field, including going three-for-four from deep.
- Chloe Wilson has now started the season with three consecutive double-digit scoring games, chipping in 12 points to the Knights cause, along with seven rebounds.
- The Knights made more threes than the Bison, eight to six, outrebounded their foe 35 to 30, dished out more assists, 11 to nine, and blocked five shots compared to Bucknell's three.
