Shea Sanders led the way for the Knights, registering a 15-6 record in foil on the day.

How it Happened
- The Knights opened the day with 15-7 win over Yeshiva, going undefeated in foil in the process.
- FDU's foil squad logged 29 individual winds, nearly half from Sanders' 15-win performance.
- The epee squad also registered an impressive performance in their first team event of the season, logging 12 individual wins and a 5-4 victory over Navy.
- Freshman Dominique Greaux-Gist recorded a double-digit win total with 10 on the day.
- The Knights saber squad recorded its best performance against Yeshiva where freshmen Avery LaRusso and Emily Bone tallied three combined wins.

"I was very pleased with the way our team came together and fenced today," said Delaney. "Being the first team event of the season, it was important that we set the right tone. They fought hard and are ready for the return to Drew next weekend for day two."
