STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's soccer team (8-4-2, 5-1-0 NEC) earned another hard-fought double-overtime victory over Wagner (5-9-0, 2-4-0 NEC) and by a score of 2-1.
How it Happened
- The Knights found the back of the net in the 29' off a corner kick from Madelyn Robbins that was finished with a nice header by Naemi Hausen.
- Within the same minute, Malene Nielsen made a stunning fingertip save to keep the Knights ahead.
- The Seahawks would, however, draw level in the 34' off of a goal from a set piece of their own.
- Hausen had an opportunity off of a free kick in the 50' on goal, but it was saved well by the Wagner keeper.
- Nielsen was pressed into action on a couple of other occasions, and Aitana Martínez-Montoya had a handful of shots in dangerous positions, but the match would finish level after 90 minutes.
- After a tense near-15 minute stretch of overtime, Aitana Martínez-Montoya would finish the match with a composed finish.

Coach Teepe's Thoughts
"It was a battle. [Wagner] really played us well – they frustrated us, they didn't give us much time on the ball, and we kind of knew that they would be a team that would look for set pieces, make the game chaotic, and be dangerous off of them, and that's exactly what it was."
"[Madelyn Robbins] is just a lightning rod for us. Having her on the field just changes the game. Other teams absolutely key on her, and she's growing as a player, finding other ways to beat those teams. She just plays with so much passion."
