BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team improved by two spots in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association Top-25 poll, moving up to 15th in the March rankings released on Wednesday.
The Knights (57-38) improved its position from 17th, going 24-16 over the month of February to help lead to change in their ranking. FDU is one of five teams from the NEC in the top-25, and the Knights will be competing against the other four teams – no. 7 Duquesne, no. 12 Mount St. Mary's, no. 14 Sacred Heart and no. 25 Long Island – in the Northeast Conference Championship from March 20-22 in Hamilton, N.J.
McKendree retained the top position in the poll, with Sam Houston State, Nebraska, Vanderbilt and Arkansas State rounding out the top five.
FDU this season has 25 wins against teams currently ranked in the NTCA top-25. The Knights compete this weekend in the Northeast Roundup in Wilmington, Del., at Bowlerama, with the two-day event beginning Saturday, March 7, and concluding on Sunday, March 8.
