Scouting the Stags
The Stags are coming off back-to-back losses to conference foe Niagara last weekend. The team's lone win on the campaign came in its last home a game, a 67-52 win over Iona on December 12. Led by second-year head coach Jay Young, the Stags are coming off of a 12-22 season. Senior guard Taj Benning has been the Stags' on-floor leader through the first eight games, averaging a team-high 12.4 points per contest on 44.6 percent shooting. Benning is the lone Stag averaging double figures in points as the team has scored 57.6 points per game this season.

Scouting the Knights
The Knights were selected first in this season's NEC Preseason Poll, their second time earning the designation in the
Greg Herenda era.
Jahlil Jenkins, an All-NEC Second Team honoree a season ago and classmate
Elyjah Williams were each named to the All-NEC Preseason Team.
Freshman guard
Joe Munden Jr. picked up his second-straight NEC Rookie of the Week honor on Monday, joining classmate
Pier-Olivier Racine, who took home the award in week one. The Knights have won all three awards this season.
In addition to Munden, Williams collected NEC Co-Player of the Week after notching a career-high 24 points in the Knights' first game against CCSU and amassing a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double in the team's win over the Blue Devils on Wednesday. Williams leads the Knights with 15.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest
Last Time Out for FDU
The Knights dropped a non-conference tilt 85-68 to Drexel inside the Rothman Center last Saturday afternoon. Senior guard
Jahlil Jenkins paced the Knights with 18 points, while fellow senior Williams scored 16 on 7-of-9 from the field.
Drexel (5-2) was led by junior guard Camren Wynter's 31 points. Wynter made 12-of-15 from the field and 5-of-6 from three-point range on the day. The Knights led by one early in the second half before a 12-0 run by the Dragons flipped the game in favor of the visitors.

Coach Herenda's Thoughts Following Saturday's Loss to Drexel
"We just have not been able to sustain our level of play for a full 40 minutes yet this year but we will. Again, we came out of the gates extremely focused and with great defensive intensity but you need to continue that level of play on every possession."
"We will be fine once we are able to get all of our players on the floor and have all of our pieces fit. This has been a difficult stretch but our better days are ahead of us for sure. I still love the potential of this group – it's just a matter of time."
Next Up
The Knights will enjoy an extended holiday break before returning to action on Thursday, January 7 with a home tilt against NEC foe Wagner.
