HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's basketball team (3-2, 0-1 NEC) fell 62-51 to Saint Francis U (2-4, 1-0 NEC) on Tuesday afternoon in the Knights first NEC game of the season from the Rothman Center.

Madison Stanley each scored nine points apiece in the contest. Mack connected on three three-pointers and Stanley made a team-high four field goals in the game.
Coach Szumilo's Thoughts
"In the first half, we played decent and made good decisions on offense and defense and in the second half their experience showed on both ends of the court," said coach Szumilo after the loss. "We have to make some adjustments for tomorrow and fortunately we have another shot at them right away so we're excited for that."

How it Happened
- SFU jumped out to an early 9-4 lead led by four point from Katie Dettwiller, but the Burgundy and Blue ended the first quarter on a 14-6 run in which six different Knights scored, including three-pointers from sophomore Sierra DeAngelo and Mack as FDU led 18-15 after one quarter of play.
- Stanley, the Knights season-leading scorer opened the second quarter by scoring or assisting on FDU's first seven points to take a 25-19 advantage with 6:26 left in the second.
- The Red Flash pulled to within two points of the lead with 2:14 left in the second, but the Burgundy and Blue went on a 7-2 run to end the frame led by baskets from Roters, freshman Taylor Crystian, and Stanley as FDU took a 34-27 lead into the half.
- Both teams traded baskets early in the third quarter before sophomore Celia Carbonell sparked the Knights with a back-door layup and a jumper as FDU held a 43-37 lead with 5:27 left.
- SFU then scored nine unanswered points, but Mack connected on a three-pointer from the left wing to tie the game at 46-46 heading into the fourth.
- FDU was outscored 16-5 in the final quarter as the Knights fell 62-51.
