TEANECK, N.J. – The 17th-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team starts the second half of its season this weekend competing in the Northeast Invitational in Croydon, Pa.

The three-day event hosted by Northeast Conference rivals LIU and Sacred Heart will take place at AMF Bristol Lanes in Croydon, Pa., beginning Friday at 11 a.m. Teams will compete in five Baker total pinfall matches on Friday followed by five traditional team matches on Saturday, with a three-round Baker best four-of-seven playoff bracket starting Sunday. Saturday's matches are scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m., and Sunday's playoff matches will begin at 8:30 a.m.
SCOUTING REPORT
The Knights (20-17) are one of 17 top-25 ranked teams in the tournament field that includes a total of 26 schools. FDU is scheduled to face six ranked opponents in its first 10 matches of the event, going against four top-10 teams that includes current no. 1 McKendree, no. 2 Sam Houston State, no. 5 Vanderbilt and no. 8 Stephen F. Austin. The Knights also match up with no. 11 Louisiana Tech and no. 20 Lincoln Memorial to go along with scheduled games against New Jersey City, Tusculum, Medaille and Kutztown.

FDU competed in the second NEC meet of the season over a month prior, dropping five traditional team matches before ending the weekend with a 51-pin victory over St. Francis Brooklyn. The Knights ended the weekend with a 5-7 conference record and are in fourth place out of seven teams in the NEC standings with one more conference meet left. Individually, junior

FDU takes its furthest road trip of the season for its next competition, traveling to Arlington, Texas, for the three-day Prairie View A&M Invitational scheduled for Jan. 31-Feb. 2.
