After three consecutive points by the Pirates, Maksimovic ended the run with a kill and tied the set at 20-20. The teams exchanged points before the Pirates garnered some breathing room with a quick 3-0 spurt that ultimately proved to be the difference.
The Knights are back in action next Friday, September 27 when they open Northeast Conference play against Bryant at 6:00 p.m. at the Rothman Center.
