TEANECK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's soccer team welcomes defending Ivy League champion Princeton to University Stadium Saturday night for a 7 p.m., game.

The Knights won the first game of their home stand Tuesday night against NJIT, 2-1, on the strength of
two second-half goals. Junior
Rocky Garretson broke a scoreless tie in the 54th minute with his first goal of the season, and sophomore
Joshua Ferreira added an insurance goal in the 74th minute that proved key to the victory, as the Highlanders closed to within one score with eight minutes left. The Knight defense, however, held off NJIT over the final stretch to earn their third win in their last four matches.
NEC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jahmali Waite was named
NEC Player of the Week on Tuesday after making a career-best 14 saves in FDU's match last Saturday at Cornell. He added two more saves in the win over NJIT to boost his NEC-leading total to 29 for the season. Waite also boasts a 1.00 goals-against average, third among NEC goalkeepers, and has a .829 save percentage that ranks second among league goalkeepers.

SERIES HISTORY
The Knights and Tigers have played each other 28 times since 1987, with Princeton owning the advantage, 18-8-2. The Tigers have won the last three meetings, with FDU's last win coming in double overtime, 3-2, during the 2014 season. The Knights have won two of the last three times the two teams have played in Teaneck.
SCOUTING PRINCETON
The Tigers (2-2) have earned wins over Rider and Monmouth but were shut out in losses to no. 5 Duke and Loyola (Md.) to start the season. In Wednesday's win over Monmouth, junior Kevin O'Toole scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 68th minute. O'Toole and freshman Walker Gillespie have scored all four Princeton goals this season, and senior goalkeeper Jacob Schachner has made 14 saves and sports a 2.00 goals-against average this season in net. Princeton was picked to repeat as Ivy League champions in the preseason poll and earned votes in the United Soccer Coaches preseason top 25 poll.
