FDU Men's Soccer Announces Addition of Max Aken-Tyers to Coaching Staff

TEANECK, N.J. - FDU Men's Soccer announced the hire of Max Aken-Tyers as an Assistant Coach Friday morning.

Aken-Tyers is joining the Knights staff after spending the 2025 season with Williams College, a Division Three institute that held the number one ranking in the NCAA Division Three poll for some time this season. Aken-Tyers helped the Ephs reach the Sweet 16 of the National Tournament at the Division Three level this season, as well as guiding four Ephs players to All-Conference honors this season. 

"We are excited to welcome Max to our FDU soccer family," said FDU Men's Soccer Head Coach Jaymee Highcock. "We have had tremendous success both on and off the field in recent seasons, and we expect Max to build on that momentum. Max is an outstanding person who has coached and played at the highest levels of the game. We are confident he will continue to drive the growth of our soccer program and the university for years to come," FDU Men's Soccer Coach Jaymee Highcock said. 

Aken-Tyers also has a prolific playing career as well as his coacing career, as he was a member of the Erie Commodores of the NPSL, where he was on the Commodores roster that won two Midwest Conference Titles and also went to three US Open Cups. 

FDU men's soccer is looking to build off a season where the Knights won both the NEC Regular Season Title as well as the NEC Tournament Title, topping Saint Francis in overtime.
