DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- After the first round of play in the 2019 Northeast Conference Championship, the Fairleigh Dickinson men's golf team sits in seventh place.
ROUND ONE SCORES
The Knights carded an opening round score of 316 (+28). The Colonials of Robert Morris holds the lead after posting a 300 (+12).
All nine NEC teams began play at the par-72, 6,801-yard Hills Course at the LPGA International.
Junior Florian Schroedl paced the Burgundy and Blue on the first day down in the Sunshine State, carding 1-over-par. Schroedl will enter the second day tied for fourth and trail the leader, Sacred Heart's Saptak Talwar, by only two strokes.
Andrew Morris ended Friday tied for 11th and tallying a 76 (+4) which was second-best for the Knights.
Junior Gary Cohan is third on the team and tied for 34th overall at 11-over-par. Simon Uribe Garcia and Albert Arribas San Jose round out the scorecard for the Knights. Garcia posted an 84 (+12), while San Jose registered an 87 (+15).
Up next, FDU will look to move up the leaderboard tomorrow morning with the second round of competition.
