WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team stayed put at eighth in the March release of the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Top 25 Coaches' Poll, announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Knights (74-45) remain the highest-ranked Northeast Conference team in the NTCA poll, and have been ranked inside the top 10 throughout the entire 2018-19 season. The Knights started the season ranked ninth, then moved up to seventh before falling back to eighth in last month's poll, where they remain heading into the rest of March.
FDU is one of six NEC teams to be ranked in the top 25, along with Saint Francis U (no. 9), Sacred Heart (no. 18), Mount St. Mary's (no. 19), LIU Brooklyn (no. 20) and Duquesne (no. 22). FDU has faced all but two of the 24 other teams ranked in March's poll so far this season, and the Knights have a combined record of 40-40 against the current top 25.
The Knights are coming off a sixth-place finish at the Monmouth Hawk Flight Invite and have one more regular season tournament next weekend – The Northeast Finest Tournament – before competing in the NEC Championships in Howell, N.J. from March 22-24.
