BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team earned the eighth-place ranking in the February release of the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) top-25 coaches' poll.
The Knights (52-30) dropped one spot from their no. 7 ranking in the previous poll but still remain in the top-10, which they have occupied since the beginning of the season.
FDU is also the highest-ranking Northeast Conference team in the latest NTCA poll. The next highest NEC team is Saint Francis U at no. 11, followed by LIU Brooklyn (17), Mount St. Mary's (19), Sacred Heart (20) and Duquesne (23).
McKendree maintained its position at number one and received 29 first-place votes, while defending national champion Vanderbilt moved up to no. 2 and garnered nine first-place votes. No. 4 Arkansas State received the final first-place vote.
This season, the Knights have faced all but two of the teams ranked in the top-25 and have a combined record of 27-28 against current ranked opponents.
FDU next competes in the James Brown Invitational hosted by Morgan State from Friday, February 15, to Sunday, February 17, in Towson, Md.
