SOMERSET, N.J. -- Fairleigh Dickinson baseball redshirt freshman,
Adam Frank earned Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week honors as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.
The redshirt freshman opened the 2019 campaign by recording back-to-back two-hit games, including a win over Big East member Seton Hall. He reached base safely at least three times in both games.
In the Knights' (1-0-1) 6-5 extra-inning victory over Seton Hall last Friday, Frank went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple, while knocking in a run and scoring once. The Saddle Brook, N.J. product followed that performance the next day by going 2-for-3 with an RBI in the Knights' 3-3 tie with Dayton.
Through the first two games, Frank is batting .571 with a 1.700 OPS and a slugging percentage of 1.000. This is the second NEC Rookie of the Week award for Frank, who earned the honor last season before an injury resulted in a redshirt season.
The Knights return to action this weekend with the USA Baseball Tournament in Cary, N.C. First up is a game against Army on Friday, March 1 before the Knights square off with Dartmouth and Saint Joseph's on Saturday.
