HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Competing in their last tune-up before the NCAA Regionals, the Fairleigh Dickinson women's fencing team will travel to Newark, New Jersey, to compete against NJIT.
On Tuesday, it marks the last chance for the fencers to qualify for the NCAA Regionals on March 10.
LAST TIME OUT
The Knights hosted the FDU Invitational on Sunday, defeating the Leopards of Lafayette, 15-11. The story of the day was junior Natalia Toby who went a perfect 18-0 in epee on the day. Amanda Cilley recorded an 11-7 record in foil.
SCOUTING NJIT
The Highlanders competed in the FDU Invitational on Sunday, ending the day with a 5-1 mark. NJIT picked up wins over Wagner, Tufts, Brandeis, Drew and CCNY. The jolt for the Highlanders will come from their epee team, which tallied a 44-10 mark at the 2019 FDU Invitational.
Up next, the Burgundy and Blue will send their top fencers to the NCAA Regionals on March 9.
