Defending NEC Champion Knights Host FDU-Florham in Tuesday's Season Opener

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The defending Northeast Conference Champion Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team returns to the floor tomorrow for its 2019-20 season opener against FDU-Florham.
 
Prior to tip-off, the Knights will unveil their 2019 NEC Championship banner with the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a replica version of the banner.

Of note: The 62-point margin of victory is the most in program history, while the 111 points scored by the Knights are tied for fifth most in school history. In the win, the Knights made 46 shots on 27 assists, which both rank third in the team's single-game history.
 
Last Time Out
The Knights team took care of business in their final regular season tune-up by defeating Georgian Court 88-69 in an exhibition at the Rothman Center on Thursday night.
 
Preseason All-NEC honoree  Jahlil Jenkins paced the Burgundy and Blue with a game-high 22 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. In total, four Knights scored in double figures with Kaleb Bishop and Devon Dunn tallying 14 points apiece and Elyjah Williams chipping in 12 points.
 
Dunn connected on four 3-pointers in the win as the defending NEC Champions shot 11-of-30 (36.7 percent) from downtown, while limiting the Lions to 5-of-19 (26.3 percent). Bishop corralled six rebounds and Williams nabbed five as the Knights won the battle on the glass 50-41. As a team, the Knights shot 44.8 percent and came up with eight blocked shots and seven steals. Graduate transfer Collin McManus led the defensive effort with three blocked shots, while freshman Daniel Rodriguez swatted a pair.
 
What's Next
The Burgundy and Blue travel to Chicago to face off with DePaul this Friday, November 8. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. (EST) at Wintrust Arena and the game will air live on Fox Sports 2.
