SOMERSET, N.J. – Fairleigh Dickinson University women's bowling junior
Amanda Chrzanowski was tabbed as Northeast Conference Co-Bowler of the Week as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
This is the second time in her career that Chrzanowski has been named NEC Bowler of the Week after earning the honor on January 23, 2019. To this point in her career, the junior has been named to the All-NEC First Team in 2019, All-NEC Second Team in 2018, and the NEC All-Rookie Team in 2018.
The Schenectady, N.Y., native led the No. 9 Knights at the NEC Fall Meet over the weekend in which the Burgundy and Blue placed second overall with a 4-2 record in six Baker total pinfall matches. The Knights recorded wins over LIU, Mount St. Mary's, Saint Francis U, and St. Francis Brooklyn. The junior completed 30 total frames and averaged 23.07 pins per frame.
Chrzanowski filled 90.3 percent of her frames in the six contests and rolled six Baker doubles. She also recorded a high strike rate as 64.5 percent (20/31) of her tries were strikes. Of the 11 throws that didn't result in strikes, the junior converted eight spares.
To this point in the season, Chrzanowski has recorded a team-leading average of 19.60 pins per frame and 36 strikes in total. She also has 15 total Baker double strikes and 32 spares.
The Burgundy and Blue will return to action on Friday, November 22, when they compete in the UMES Hawks Classic starting at 10 a.m.
