HACKENSACK, N.J. - Freshman Melan Dhaubhadel of the Fairleigh Dickinson men's golf team was named Northeast Conference Men's Co-Golfer of the Month on Wednesday.

After carding a career-low 67 (-5) during the second round of the Hartford Invitational in September, Dhaubhadel notched an equally impressive 69 (-1) during Monday's Metropolitan Intercollegiate to secure his spot as the top performer during the month of October. Dhaubhadel shares this month's accolade with Marc-Antoine Hotte who paced the Red Flash of Saint Francis.

Both October tournaments for the men were shortened due to unfortunate weather and imperfect playing conditions. This left only two total rounds of competition for the Knights during the Towson Invitational and Metropolitan Intercollegiate Championship.

After completing one round in each event and securing a share of the individual title at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate, Dhaubhadel concluded the month with a 71.5 stroke average.

Joining the freshman in monthly honors were NEC Prime Performers Patrick Brennan, Christopher Lee and Florian Schroedl for the men, and Victoria Schroedl for the women.
