Men's Cross Country

Men's Cross Country Rounds Out Regular Season at CCSU Mini Meet

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's cross country were one of 13 teams that competed in its regular season finale at the CCSU Mini Meet at Stanley Quarter Park in the 5k event.

CCSU Mini Meet Results

Providence won the event with a team score of 42 and had the three runners place in the top five overall. CCSU senior Roberto Piotto won the event by clocking a time of 14:51.2. The Burgundy and Blue have now competed at Stanley Quarter Park twice this season.

FDU sophomore Christopher Graham posted the Knights best time of the day after finishing with a time of 17:28.2. For Graham, it was the first time this season he finished first among his teammates and has placed in the top three in all four events. Junior Duran Crooks placed second among his teammates after clocking a time of 17:50.5. Fellow junior Sandley Elysee finished third on the team after his time of 17:51.2.

Sophomore Justin Cadas (18:18.5) and freshman Alejandro Zapata (18:35.3) rounded out the Knights top five after placing fourth and fifth on the team respectively. Junior Zubayr Ismail was the final Knight to compete and ended his event with a 19:08.4 mark.

The Knights will travel back to New Britain, Conn. next Saturday when they compete in the NEC Championships at 11 a.m.
