BANGKOK – Former Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling All-American Danielle McEwan won the 2018 PBA-World Bowling Tour Thailand event.
 
McEwan, who graduated from FDU in 2013, was the top seed out of eight competitors entering the final round of competition Friday, finishing out the Round 4 finals with games of 244, 240 and 238 to finish with a 230.17 average. She then topped English PBA tour bowler Stuart Williams with scores of 218-225 in the final round.
 
The PWBA star is coming off a 2018 season where she averaged 216.41, third best on the tour, and pulled in the third-most earnings of any player. She totaled the second-most points with 116,387.5 over the course of the season.
 
McEwan was a star during her career at FDU.  She helped the Knights to the 2010 National Championship and was named Championship MVP.  She added to her accolades by earning National Ten-Pin Coaches Association Bowler of the Year Honors in 2012 and 2013.  She also earned NTCA All-America First Team honors in 2011, 2012 and 2013 as well as honorable mention accolades as a freshman in 2010.
Within the NEC, McEwan was the conference rookie of the year as a freshman and then claimed bowler of the year honors her final three seasons.
