TEANECK, N.J. – Fairleigh Dickinson head baseball coach
Justin McKay formally announced the addition of
Bryan Radziewski to his coaching staff for the upcoming season.
Radziewski joins the Knights following a stellar collegiate career as a left-handed starting pitcher for the University of Miami Hurricanes and a three-year stint in the Houston Astros organization. In his new role, Radziewski will serve as the Knights' pitching coach.
"I'm excited to welcome Bryan into our FDU Baseball community," McKay said. "He comes from a great baseball background. Bryan's work ethic and experience will be a major asset to the program. We're looking forward to having him develop our young pitching staff. I'm thrilled to have Bryan join us, I feel it says a lot about where the FDU baseball program is heading."
Following his redshirt sophomore season, the Miami native was selected in the 29
th round of the 2013 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals and again in the ninth round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros. Radziewski's junior season featured an ERA of 2.86 and an 8-2 record with 111 strikeouts and 49 walks. He was named to the Louisville Slugger All-America Second Team and the Rawlings All-America Third Team.
Radziewski concluded his three-season minor league career with a 3.39 ERA across 18 starts and 132.2 innings pitched. Playing most recently for the Colorado Rockies' affiliate, Lancaster JetHawks in 2015.
