TEANECK, N.J. -- Coming off its first win of the season, the Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team will look to carry its momentum, traveling to Easton, Pennsylvania, to take part in the Lafayette Invitational.
The Burgundy and Blue will compete in three matches, beginning on Friday with the Hartford Hawks.

FDU wrapped up the Pioneer Showdown in Denver, Colorado, with a resounding sweep over the Peacocks of Saint Peters 3-0 (26-24, 25-8, 25-23). Magdalena Maksimovic was a force for the Knights, tallying 16 kills, while junior Erika Sullivan continued her steady season, notching her fourth double-double of the campaign with 13 kills and 12 digs. As a team, the Knights totaled nine blocks, with five coming from Brooke Stevens.
SAVIOR STEVENS
The freshman out of Mississauga, Ontario, not only paces the team with 33 total blocks, but ranks second in the Northeast Conference, only trailing Central Connecticut State's Gala Galabova, who has notched 35 blocks.
SCOUTING HARTFORD
The Hawks come into this weekend with a 5-3 overall record, with wins against Central Connecticut, Niagara, Brown, Bucknell, and Fairfield. First year head coach Vinh Nguyen saw the Hawks return seven starters from a season ago, including 2017 All-Rookie selection Abby Nash, who tallied 191 kills. This season through eight matches, Jenna Bridges paces Hartford with 108 kills, and 32 blocks.
SCOUTING DELAWARE STATE
The Hornets will be making the short trip to Pennsylvania with a 1-10 record. The lone win for Delaware State came against North Carolina A&T. Mayah Ngundam leads the Hornets with 78 kills, while Milexa Cardona paces the team with an impressive 228 assists.
SCOUTING LAFAYETTE
The Leopards enter this weekend with a 2-7 mark, racking up its two wins against Manhattan and Coppin State. Grace Tulevech leads the attack for Lafayette, totaling 99 kills, while Julia Howard has dished out 260 assists. Last season, the Leopards defeated the Knights 3-1 (25-27, 25-13, 25-21, 25-23).
