HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The 10th-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson women's bowling team heads to Arlington, Texas this weekend for the Prairie View A&M Invitational.
LAST TIME OUT
The Knights finished ninth at the Kutztown Invitational in Reading, Pennsylvania two weeks ago. Fairleigh Dickinson went 1-2 in bracket play on Sunday against Saint Francis U, Stephen F Austin, and Adelphi.
Aimee Sherman was named Third-Team All-Tournament Team, and the Knights finished the weekend.
LAST SEASON AT PVAMU
A season ago, the Knights finished in fifth after going a perfect 2-0 on Sunday. On the tournament's file day, Fairleigh Dickinson beat Maryland Eastern Shore and Stephen F Austin.
At the time head coach,
Mike LoPresti said, "After a disappointing Saturday, we turned it up a couple of notches today, and that was what we needed. Over the weekend we defeated the number one team in America [Arkansas State] and the defending national champions [Stephen F. Austin]. Those results are certainly confidence builders."
KNIGHTS KNOTES
Aimee Sherman filled 94-percent of her frames in traditional games at Kutztown, which 14-percent than her season rate ... The freshman also averaged 21.26 per frame in traditional play, which is 1.5 pins higher than her season average ...
Deborah Epps had a season-best frame average in both baker (21.24) and traditional (19.28) ... Senior
Karsyn Lukosius led the team in frame average in baker play at KU (22.29) ...
