HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson volleyball team returns to the road this weekend for a pair of Northeast Conference matches against Central Connecticut State and Bryant.
The Knights' two opponents are currently tied for second in the NEC standings trailing LIU Brooklyn (4-0) by one match.

LAST TIME OUT
The Knights fell in five sets (24-26, 25-16, 26-28, 25-23, 11-15) to Saint Peter's at the Rothman Center on Wednesday night. Wednesday's contest marked the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Knights won in straight sets in Denver at the Pioneer Classic back on September 8. Sophomore

KNIGHT NOTES
The Knights rank second in the NEC in blocks, averaging 2.01 per contest. Freshmen
Brooke Stevens and
Kati Quaintance are at the forefront of the blocking effort at .98 and .74 blocks per set, respectively. Sophomore
Erin Singer joined the party last match by registering nine blocks in the five-set loss to Saint Peter's. Singer's nine blocks matched Quaintance's season-high from last month's contest at NJIT. This weekend, the Knights are seeking their first win at CCSU since 2014 and their first at Bryant since 2011.
SCOUTING CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
CCSU enters the weekend at 6-9 on the season and 3-1 in conference action. Junior Madelyn Kaprelyan is having a great season and was named Molten NEC Player of the Week after helping the Blue Devils earn a pair of wins last week. Kaprelyan led CCSU to wins over Robert Morris and Saint Francis U in the opening weekend of league games, averaging 3.57 kills, 4.71 assists and 1.43 digs per set while hitting at a .379 clip. The Blue Devils are limiting opponents to an NEC-best .177 hitting percentage this season and average 2.33 blocks per set – also tops in the conference.
SCOUTING BRYANT
Bryant is 13-8 on the year and 3-1 in the NEC after splitting a pair of matches in Brooklyn last weekend. The Bulldogs fell to LIU Brooklyn in four sets Friday before sweeping St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday. Bryant leads the NEC in kills (13.4 k/set), assists (12.49 a/set) and hitting percentage (.214). Head coach Theresa Garlacy won her 500
th career match on September 8 against Coppin State and now has 507 career victories entering the weekend – all of them at Bryant. The Bulldogs are 14-8 all-time against the Knights, with Bryant having won the last eight matchups.
